What is it with me being unable to do an LJ cut? I used the little arrows and everything! Do I have to include LJ cut when I do one?

OWW!

I'm feeling pretty good right now, besides being in pain, and I'll tell you why (I don't care if I sound like Sally Field at the Oscars): THEY LIKED MY STORY! THEY REALLY REALLY LIKED IT! Very very happy indeed! By the by, here's yet another attempt at and LJ cut:

I didn't fail the LJ Cut! )

I finally did it....

I'm pleased to announce to the 2 people who read this endlessly boring journal that I have officially posted my first drabble on lawandorder100! *waits for cheers, applause and fanfare to end* But I'm slightly worried because:

   a) I failed the word count. It's only 79 words! At least I didn't go over.
   b) I failed the LJ cut! I thought I did it right, but if anyone has any pointers, then send them my way!
   c) I failed the story! I think I was too out of character. And I don't know if Lennie's daughter is married and     changed her name or anything!

Well, the deed is done, and all I can do is sit and wait (besides school and life, of course! I'm not that much of a loner!).

Love, Senorita Taylorama

PS: Special thanks to bast2 for friending me and that post with my comment was so sweet!

Snagged this from sipman!

If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

Today was probably the most and least productive day I've ever had here at my school.

In French, Madame gave us a pre-test to the actual test that we have on MRS DR VANDERTRAMP and she (being one of the nicest French teachers ever) gave us a little cheat sheet to help us in high school!

Gym was not so bad. I'm in a split class, so when we played soccer baseball, we played one grade against the other and we lost 31-4. It would have been worse if our teacher hadn't extended the outs from 3 to 4 or else we would have epic failed even more with 31-2.

That math test I wrote about? The 'completely easy' one? Yeah, that was kind of hard. The last question didn't make sense and I stared at it for the longest time until I remembered something Shaniece said to Nadine when Nadine asked our group of friends about the math homework popped into my head: "You have to multiply, stupid." After that, I instantly knew what to do.

I help out my old Grade 4 teacher's class, and today, he REALLY needed my help. So I spent most of the time before last recess marking some of his students tests that had to be sent to the school board.

During last recess, I went to the office because they needed my help putting together packages for each class full of things to do in the summer and I was there until 5 minutes after the final bell rand and I almost missed my bus. And they want me to go back after French tomorrow, but I have to film the interpretive dance for our Fully Alive project. Which is what the rest of the group was working on while I was being a student liasion of sorts. And they didn't like the song I chose so I have to look up a new one.

I'm getting a headache now, so I have to take some ibuprofen and actually do my song research.

PS: I'm doing the responsorial psalm at Mass tomorrw and it's three paragraphs long. Wish me luck!

PSS: Special thanks to citjara for being my first comment! It feels good to know that somebody reads my stuff!

So many things are happening here in these final weeks-no, days. Today was our (semi) annual trip to Cedar Park in Whitby. Of course, Neena, Shaniece, Tony, Brooke, and I are the only people in our grade to show up (the lucky people in the other class organized a trip to Wonderland). Nevertheless, we have a blast.

Tomorrow is our last math test of the year on fractions, which happens to be completely easy, so I'm not too worried.

We have a major Fully Alive project due in three days (again, not worried about it seeing as how I'm not working with the boneheads that I normally do work with) about social justice issues and my group's topic is murder. Did I mention that we have to include two songs (one to sing and another to play), an interpretive dance, two pieces of art, and a Bristol Board of facts. Good times.

Thursday is our Mass that our grade has to put on for the rest of the school as a final farewell, as they say, whoever the heck "they" are. And the coinciding dance in the afternoon that I only found out about yesterday, mostly because I'm out of the loop on everything.

And that's just this week. None of us know what's going to happen next week, besides our stupid French career posters being due. That's all for now. I have to study for math while simultaneously figuring out how to post on lawandorder100.

PS: To make matters worse, we just got a letter from the school saying that we have a student with swine flu in our school. Brilliant.
